High quality wayfinding signage for The Dreadnought Building, part of the World Heritage Site.
Reade Signs worked closely with Willmott Dixon’s specialist heritage restoration team to manufacture and install high quality wayfinding signage for The Dreadnought Building, part of a World Heritage Site. The Grade II listed property was renovated to become University of Greenwich’s main reception and student union.
We produced a family of signs and feature graphics using timber veneers, low iron toughened glass, Corian, bespoke extruded aluminium components, clear film and digitally printed wallpaper. The glass wayfinding signage was interchangeable to suit an ever-evolving environment and had a specialist ‘anti-glare’ surface to ensure good legibility. We worked extensively with the architect, wayfinding consultant and client to prototype the signage and ensure products were true to their design intent as well as elegant and fit for purpose.
External wayfinding monoliths, manufactured using aluminium extruded profiles, engraved natural slate, stainless steel and low iron glass finished with verometal bronze finish will be installed shortly. A carefully managed approach ensured this sensitive project was finished on time, within budget and to complete satisfaction of the client.
