Tunbridge Wells Borough Council
Our client, Tunbridge Wells Borough Council, wanted wayfinding signage that reflected the town’s historical setting but that would also have 21st century functionality. The signage was to include town maps with wayfinding systems and historical information. They were very keen to use vitreous enamel for each sign.
Vitreous enamel is an excellent material as it offers deep lustrous colours and can incorporate graphics embedded into the surface. It also provides a robust finish that is easy to maintain. However the process of producing vitreous enamel is very labour intensive and costly to manufacture. With this in mind the maps (which are subject to change from time to time) were manufactured in printed vinyl with a covering of low iron glass and are easy to update.
Reade Signs worked with us to manufacture and install 12 Monolith Signs in Tunbridge Wells town centre. We were very happy with the finished product which was manufactured to a high standard. The installation of the signs went smoothly and was carried out to a high standard. I would highly recommend Reade Signs for the manufacture and installation of any signage project.
